Maynard joined NetSuite in 2015 bringing more than 20 years of experience analyzing, operating, and investing in software. As Executive Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development, Maynard is in charge of overall strategy and plans for new partnerships and new markets. In this role, he also drives NetSuite's global marketing initiatives and leads the global marketing team. Prior to NetSuite, Maynard was a senior analyst at Wells Fargo where he covered the software sector. In 2004, he was the first analyst to articulate the rise of software as a service and launched the On-Demand Index to measure the transformation in software. Prior to Wells Fargo he worked at Credit Suisse and Merrill Lynch as a software analyst. He has an MBA from the University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business and a B.S. in Business from California State University, Sacramento.
John Somorjai is the Executive Vice President of Corporate Development & Salesforce Ventures at Salesforce. Since 2005, he has been leading the evaluation, deal execution and integration of Salesforce’s corporate strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, as well as investments. John‘s team has helped bring the company into significant new growth areas and onboarded a number of key leaders through acquisitions including Demandware, ExactTarget, Heroku, InStranet, Krux, MetaMind, Radian6, RelateIQ, Quip and SteelBrick. The Salesforce Ventures portfolio includes innovative cloud companies such as Anaplan, Box, Classy, DocuSign, Dropbox, Evernote, FinancialForce, GainSight, InsideSales, MuleSoft, Radius, Stripe, SurveyMonkey, Twilio and Xactly. In addition, his team has made investments in over 150 technology companies located in 11 different countries, including Canada, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, UK and the US.
Prior to Salesforce, John was Vice President of Business Development for Ingenio, which was acquired by AT&T. Prior to Ingento, John worked for Oracle Corporation where he was Senior Director, Corporate Development.
John holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College and a J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley.
