Daniel Broukhim is an entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He is best known for being the Co-Founder and Co-CEO of FabFitFun. Since launching as a media company in 2010, Broukhim has led FabFitFun’s growth from the launch of its subscription box in 2013, to its position today as one of the world’s leading lifestyle memberships. During that time, FabFitFun’s membership has exploded to over one million members globally.
As an angel investor, Broukhim has invested in and advised numerous companies including Cargomatic, ChowNow, CubCoats, DropBox, MeUndies, Momentum Machines, Particle, RE/DONE, Reformation, Ring, Salted, Shaper Tools, SpaceX, Stripe, Whisper, and Zoe Media Group.
Early in his career, Broukhim ran the L.A. based media agency Charlie and worked in the hedge fund and textile industries. He received his undergraduate degree in political science from Berkeley, where he founded a chapter of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity and created and taught a class on Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” He went on to earn his J.D. from UCLA School of Law in 2013.
Scott is Fair’s Founder and CEO, and a serial entrepreneur in the automotive and technology industries who has founded dozens of disruptive companies over the past 25 years. Prior to Fair, Scott founded TrueCar with the aim of eliminating negotiation from the car-buying process by providing data-driven pricing research to both dealers and consumers. Painter also founded Cars Direct, which took the pioneering step of introducing upfront pricing to auto retail. Painter regularly attends TED, All Things D, and is a member of the World Economic Forum, regularly attending and speaking at its annual meeting in Davos since 2011.
Ian Siegel is CEO and co-founder of ZipRecruiter, a leading online employment marketplace using AI-driven matching technology to actively connect millions of businesses and job seekers to their next great opportunity. Since the company’s inception in 2010, more than 1.5M employers of all sizes have used ZipRecruiter to find their next great hire and over 430 million job applications have been submitted through the site. Prior to co-founding ZipRecruiter, Ian held executive product and technology leadership roles at companies including CitySearch, Stamps.com, and Rent.com. He received his BA in sociology from Oberlin College and is based in Santa Monica, Calif.
Michael is passionate about working with ultra-curious and deeply convicted entrepreneurs building the products and brands of the future in areas including next-generation commerce, financial services, and mobility platforms.
Michael joined Upfront in 2015 and is a proud supporter of the Southern California technology ecosystem, working closely with standout local companies including Ring, GOAT, Bird, CloudVirga, ZestFinance, Chownow, and DAILYLOOK. Previously, Michael was an Editor at Pandodaily and was on the founding team at Worldvest, a boutique merchant bank. Michael holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
